Five for Five™
Attention live bands: Get five songs recorded, mixed and mastered for just $500!

Do you want to get a great recording of your music at an incredible price? Introducing our Five for Five™ special at Hit and Run Recording.

Get five songs recorded, mixed, and mastered for just $500! That's right, five professionally recorded tracks for an unbeatable price!

Here's how it works: The band books a session, and we spend up to five hours loading in, setting up, getting great sounds, and recording the five songs live – like you’re at band practice or a show. The studio will be pre-configured before hand specifically for the band based on the booking form below and we'll be getting sounds shortly after they arrive.

The vocals can be recorded as a “scratch” vocal during the initial recording pass and then overdubbed later during that session. Other instruments can be overdubbed and editing can take place within that five hour session. Once the studio session is done (up to five hours maximum), the band leaves the studio, and your trusted engineer and co-producer, Steve Carr, takes over.

Steve carries out the mixing and mastering, ensuring all instruments and vocals are well balanced and that the songs have a loud, clear, and powerful sound, as heard in the examples in the video. You'll receive the final product within seven business days.

For the recording session, some bands choose a setup like band practice, using the studio’s PA speakers and no headphones [easier setup but lower quality sound control]. Others prefer a traditional studio approach with headphones, recording a “scratch” vocal and then overdubbing the final vocal take using a studio-style mic [takes a little more time, but better quality sound control]. Multiple types of click tracks are ready to go if you’re want the versatility click tracks provide to the creative-editing process. Either way, the band should be well rehearsed and able to get “keepers” within a few takes.  Bassists and drummers:The bass gets recorded direct, and there's a bass amp if needed. The drummer should use the studio's 5 piece kit, but can bring their snare, pedals, cymbals and sticks if they want to use them.  Important Notes: If your group has some type of problem such as a member was late, or many musical mistakes are made and subsequently only gets four songs recorded in the five hour block booked for your project, then you get “four for five" (four songs recorded, mixed and mastered for $500).  A song is defined as a piece of music approximately five minutes or less in length. The clock starts at the booked time and the recording session ends five hours after that. The band can arrive up to 15 minutes early to load in any gear while “off the clock.” Five for Five pricing is based on bands that have up to seven members - contact us about larger groups. The included video for the Five For Five™ session will have the “off the board” sound mix from the five hour session.  The band needs to bring a USB3 drive to receive the video files before the end of their five hour session. The band can sync the subsequently mixed and mastered WAV files to that video on their own, or hire Hit and Run Recording to do that (and additional video editing, color correction and fonts) at the normal hourly studio rate.

Hit and Run Recording has acoustically treated rooms with bass traps, great gear, and the experience to deliver top-notch sound quality, presenting your music in the best light possible, digitally enshrined for the ages!
