Drum Setup Consultation

Getting a professional sounding recording of a real drum kit is not easy. Much of a pro sound has to do with the mic setup and drum tuning. The Drum Set Up consultation includes, one studio or onsite visit where we take stock of the drum recording equipment you currently have and set up the drums (tuning, etc.), mics and preamps to help you get the best sound possible. There may also be specific gear purchase recommendations. Price is for 5 piece drum kits. Prices for large drum kits -$775. Travel charge may apply for onsite consultations.

Studio Design Consultation
Before you purchase any gear for your future studio, you might want to consider talking to an expert with over 20,000 hours of experience making professional sounding recordings of all types of popular in a home studio.This consultation service is designed specifically for the type of music you are going to record and includes up to two onsite visits (only if necessary) that cover: planning, gear purchasing recommendations, through studio hookup and testing of signal paths from sound source into recorder and through the playback monitoring system. Does not include services particular to the Drum Set Up Consultation or the Monitor Setup Consultation. Travel time may apply.

Monitor Setup Consultation $260
The audio monitors are your "eyes" to the sound. Therefore it's important that they are as accurate as possible, that you become aware of any monitoring issues your recording system may have and know how to effectively address them. The Monitor Setup Consultation also includes: one on site visit, measurement of room response, and recommendations. Travel time may apply.
