Hit and Run Recording music clients note the advantages of hiring H&R to provide the graphic design along with the audio recording services for a project:
Review the progress of your projects graphic design in person while at the studio for a recording session - which can be more efficient than communicating with someone over the phone or through email
A graphic designer who knows your music from listening to it, the goals or markets you may be aiming for, and has a command of Adobe Creative Suite software on par with his audio engineering skills .
H&R does not charge an extra fee for its photography service when photographs are taken of audio recording clients during their session.
CD GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICES
Since the SIRENS recorded at Hit and Run Recording, and there is no extra charge for photography taken during a recording session, the total cost for the graphic design and photography of such a 6 panel CD project would be $525.
Hit and Run Recording Graphic Design has done many styles of CD designs, from folk rock to religious to educational-technical audio CDs with 16 page booklets.
This 4 panel CD used a photo supplied by the client that needed editing. The photo editing and graphic design for such a 4 panel CD project would be $495.

HOW THE CD GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICE WORKS
If you would like to hire Hit and Run Recording to provide the graphic design services for your project, send in this Graphic Design Project Form to get the process started. The Graphics Project Form gives us the information we need to know in order to most efficiently provide you the best results. We would then email you a price quote confirmation based on the prices here along with instructions for uploading, (or mailing us) the artwork and text files that will be used for your CD artwork layout.
CD GRAPHIC DESIGN FORMATS AND PRICE EXAMPLES
Graphic design fees include: Converting your RGB digital camera images to CMYK for print, the scanning and cropping of any photographs, importing your supplied text for each of the panels, and layout of supplied text and images. Final file format is Adobe In-Design and high resolution PDF files are used to email you proofs for your approval.

Album Image Concept
Are you having difficulty coming up with the album title and/or image for your collection of recordings? Give our Album Image Concept service the opportunity to design a look that you will say "yes" to. Just send in the Graphic Design Project Form and in the comments section, include the ideas you have already thought of but did not pass the test of time. Don't be stuck with boxes of CDs and posters that don't have the best look you could have had at the time of design! For a fee of $475 and credits, a title and visual concept for your album's design will be provided. The fee would only become due if you decide to use the Album Image Concept we provided to you.

In between recording on a Rolling Stones album and with Keith Richards on his solo project, bassist Jeff Sarley recorded some tracks for a Washington DC area band at Hit and Run Recording. These photographs were taken during that session.
Steve has been taking photographs of musicians for almost as long as he has been recording them. He got his first audio recorder when he was in elementary school, and his first camera (an "instamatic" film cartridge camera*), in middle school. He subsequently took countless pictures of many famous rock bands with that instamatic camera. With the exception of the Jeff Sarley (above-left) pictures, the waterfall, and one of the SIRENS singers, all of the photographs on this website were taken by Steve Carr.
*The same type of camera used by the band member to take his pictures of Jeff Sarley was used by Steve to take these three pictures of guitarist Paul Stanley of the rock group Kiss.

WEB SITE - MULTIMEDIA PAGE DESIGN SERVICES SERVICES
A custom multimedia page based product designed by our graphic design department will give you a presence that is unique while offering your visitors an experience that is user friendly and/or the product their are looking for.
Whether you have a good idea of how you want the general look and layout of your interactive page to be, or you're not sure where to begin, you've arrived at the right place!

We would then email you a price quote-project confirmation based on the prices below. If you have any questions, always feel free to contact us. If the price quote-project confirmation is to your liking, you can hire our services by using the secure online payment button at the bottom of this page.

Upon receipt of your payment, we would then ask that you email a sketch of the general layout of how you want your website to be. You can do the sketch on a piece of 8X11 paper, scan it, and then email it to us. We would combine the sketch information with the background information from your Graphic Design Project Form and build a website according to those specifications. Thepage design service price includes one round of revisions. Upon your approval, the final website would be published using the servers of the web host provider of your choosing.
The sketch should show things such as: Where do you want the menu buttons to be: across the top, on the left side, or on the right side? You can also sketch in where you want your pictures to be. In the email you send us with your sketch, you should also include the text (please proofread and spell check it before you send it to us), for each of the pages of your website.
Website-Multimedia Page Design Services - Current Prices $65 per page
The price for the construction of a multimedia product is based on the number of pages and the options added. Note: This service is not a web hosting service. We construct your pages for an agreed upon, one time fee, and then we would upload the website or provide the files we constructed for you to the web host provider you have chosen to host your website on the internet.
Price includes combining customer supplied text and images, setting up the main email account for the website, upload and testing. Please note that photo editing and image correction are extra. See Photo Editing Services for more information.
Convert WAV files (audio CD) to MP3, upload and add a music player to the page to play the MP3 : $4 per song.

Edits of Audio Files can be performed on the tracks so that only a portion of each song is available to listen to on your web page. The charge is $1 per edit. For example, to convert one song ($4), and fade in at the first verse, and fade it out after the first chorus would be two edits, therefore the total charge would be $6 for that song. For another example, your new album is comprised of 11 songs and you want only the first 30 seconds of each song to play on your website. That would be 11 conversions ($44) and eleven, single edits ($11), total cost would be $55.

After receiving and approving your project's price quote-project confirmation email, you can make a secure online payment here using the Add to Cart $1 Incremental Payment Button. Then when you get to the second page, enter in the dollar amount of your project's price quote in the quantity field. For example, if you hire us to do the graphic design for your four panel Digi-Pak CD ($395), and your six page website ($390), then the total would be a total of $785. To make a payment of $785, you would type "785" in the "Quantity" box which would result in a payment of $785 being sent to us.
